What are the five major movements of fabric formation
Looms all have five major movements, which are opening, weft insertion, beating, warp release, and winding.
Opening motion is a process of lifting and lowering the heald frame according to the requirements of the fabric structure, driven by the opening mechanism. The warp thread threaded on the heald is divided into two layers, forming a shed and creating conditions for weft insertion.
The weft insertion motion is to guide the weft line on one side of the shed to the other side of the shed through the weft insertion mechanism.
The beating motion is achieved by the steel reed in the beating mechanism, which blows the weft in the shed towards the weaving mouth, interweaving the weft and warp into a fabric with a certain degree of tightness.
The let-off motion is a process in which the warp thread on the warp shaft is continuously fed out by the let-off mechanism, maintaining a constant tension of the warp thread and enabling continuous weaving.
The coiling motion is carried out by the coiling mechanism, which guides the fabric through the breast beam, pressure roller, and coiling roller, and gradually rolls it onto the fabric rolling roller with uniform tension.
Whether it is a shuttle loom or a shuttleless loom, weaving is completed through the five major movements mentioned above. Therefore, the five major movements are the foundation and indispensable movements of a loom.
The coordination of the five major movements during the normal operation of the water jet loom can be seen in the "Weaving Movement Diagram".
The coordination of various movement times of the water jet loom is mainly based on factors such as fabric specifications, warp and weft material properties, opening and weft insertion mechanisms, etc., and comprehensive consideration is given to the setting. In general, the reed width is about 160cm, and the loom stops at a position of 180 ° to 270 °; Comprehensive leveling from 350 ° to 355 °; Water pump injection 85 °~90 °; Gripper opening and closing at 110 °~270 °; Twisted edge leveling time: Left twisted edge 280 °, right twisted edge 20 °. Of course, in special circumstances, specific analysis and experimentation are necessary, and the timing of the close coordination of the five major movements of the loom also varies, so appropriate adjustments should be made.
